Oxygen Saturation Technology (OST®) is a state-of-the-art, industrial-grade aeration system. Oxygen is generated via an onshore oxygen generator. A submerged supply line delivers oxygen to the patented (submerged) pumping/chamber assembly, which then distributes oxygen-enriched water to the reservoir bottom. This allows the development of an oxygen blanket over the lake sediment. Because of this patented technology, OST® is the only aeration method that can guarantee that desired DO levels are met, maintaining ecosystem health.
The efficiency of OST® cannot be matched with any other system; operation times are often one-third of traditional aeration systems. This is obtained by continuously maintaining a pre-programmed DO level via automation, turning OFF/ON depending on real-time monitoring of reservoir DO concentrations, which offers substantial electrical savings.
